The majestic setting at the Mound precinct is flanked by the National Galleries of Scotland on the south side of Princes Street, in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle. Here, locals and tourists alike can take refuge from the bustle of Edinburgh's busiest shopping street, to climb the steps up to the High Street, to sit and relax with an ice cream, and - on this day - to watch nearly 100 members from around the Scottish Region, gathered under a warm sun, practicing together - taijiquan, taijijian (sword) and taijidao (sabre) forms, and liuhebafa (Lok Hup Ba Fa).
Members took it in turns to practice, to rest and hydrate, and to offer leaflets and chat to the interested onlookers. A good deal of 'awareness' was raised, amongst the observing public and amongst ourselves.
