As part of the Essex-Jiangsu Festival 2008-2009, we invite you to experience one of our free Taster Sessions for yourself and discover a genuine path for health and tranquility.
The ancient Taoists were renowned for their study of the arts of health and longevity. The Taoist Tai Chi† internal art of taijiquan conveys the essence of this tradition to the modern world. In more than 25 countries around the globe, people are enjoying the many benefits of practicing this internal art of health in the friendly atmosphere of our volunteer, non-profit organisation.
Suitable for ages 18 plus. If 14 plus must be accompanied by an adult.
We also invite you to our public demonstrations at the two 'China Towns' to be organised as part of the Festival on: 25 Jan 09 - Colchester and 31 Jan 09 - Chelmsford. The Festival Handbook, the Festival website or this website will provide more information when it becomes available.

Essex County Council is embarking upon a unique cultural festival to celebrate a continuing and successful 20 year partnership with Jiangsu Province in China.
Hundreds of celebratory events will take place all over Essex for nine months between July 2008 and March 2009 in the biggest international arts festival Essex has ever enjoyed. The festival will include cultural shows and events coming all the way from Jiangsu, in all sorts of venues for all sorts of people in Essex. From dancers to traditional puppetry and from master crafts people to musicians and artists, the festival will bring a taste of China to Essex.
