Visitors to Great Britain's shopping centres, parks and open spaces were treated to a novel twist with a global dimension on Saturday 12 September, as the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Great Britain celebrated its annual Awareness Day. Similar events involving public demonstrations of this ancient art of health take place each year around the nation and around the world, as part of International Taoist Tai Chi Awareness Day.
Once again, the events produced their usual benefits of practicing Taoist Tai Chi† internal art of taijiquan with friends and colleagues en plein air, as well as the opportunity to distribute leaflets and information, to promote forthcoming new beginner classes and to have discussions with interested passers-by. The health-conscious visitors showed interest in the slow and graceful movements, and the children showed interest in the balloons that were being given out in many locations.
